"Advanced Computer Programming Techniques" is the backbone professional course in school of information, Chang'an University. It was approved by the Ministry of Education as the first national bilingual education demonstration curriculum in 2008. The course has been constantly improving under the care of all leaders and effort of teaching team. The main improvement includes the following aspects:

     1. The construction of teaching team has been strengthened, especially the programming techniques and language ability. Teachers in the team are trained for advanced education concepts, sound teaching methods, high level bilingual teaching.

     2. Some bilingual teaching methods are developed to refine and improve the effects. Foreign textbooks are selected and integrated as teaching materials. The usage of textbook, effect of the teaching and response of students are concerned to improve the teaching quality.

     3. Multimedia courseware is developed with integration of rich teaching experience and program development techniques. The courseware helps teacher to impart knowledge vividly and visually.

     4. The training for comprehensive designing experiments is strengthened. Student ability of software system development is enhanced by independent programming and debug. The laboratory teaching is emphasized for student’s design ability and creativity.
