A combination of “Mastering Delphi 7” written by Marco Cantu and “Delphi database programming tutorial” written by Liu Ruixin which is pressed by Mechanical Engineering Press is selected to be the textbook. Due to the spread of content of teaching materials, as well as the limited class hours of the teaching plan for undergraduate, it is difficult to finish all content in a combination of English and Chinese. According to the training period of undergraduate, the applicant changed “Mastering Delphi 7” to “Essential Delphi”. After the teaching of two session of undergraduate, we found that the original material “Essential Delphi ” is suitable for the students who are non-computer classes. It is too simple for the students of Computer Science, Electronic Information and Automation. Its content is lack of high-level programming skills and application programming examples. The course group use “Mastering Delphi 7.0” as a reference At last, the course group rewrite the textbooks which are the “Delphi Advanced Programming Technology” and the “the Delphi Database Programming Tutorial”.

      With the emphasis on the quality of teaching engineering schools, teaching reform and innovation, the training of innovative high-quality compound talents and strengthening the construction of famous professional course, it makes us get large progress in teaching team, teaching content and teaching methods. On the basis of the original teaching materials, the course group recommends the relevant reference books in both Chinese and English and write the relevant experimental guide books in Chinese.
