Teaching Reform and Research Situation

 

1. The construction of faculty team: It gradually formed a good bilingual teaching team which had a reasonable structure, stable staffs, high teaching level and good teaching effect. This team equipped with a certain proportion of experimental training tutors and instructors. At the same time, the team hired the internationally influential professors and foreign guests who have rich practical experience or part-time professor to participate in bilingual course construction. The team worked out a feasible plan to cultivate teachers. And a positive, continuous learning incentive was formed as well as the optimized faculty structure. We hired the famous Chinese-Amercian professor Lihe Zou, Xingtai Chang, and Yizhe Song, and communicated with teachers and students by using the form such as lectures, teaching, counseling and communication, which broaden the horizons of the project team members and improve the teaching level. The Project team has introduced 3 young Ph.D teachers to enforce the teaching team.

 

2. According to the specific situation of this course, we choose the appropriate supplementary teaching materials in both Chinese and English, computer experiment and course design instructional materials for cultivating students' comprehensive application ability. Now, the official teaching materials in both English and Chinese, teaching outline, emphasis points and course design of guidance have been edited.

 

3. Teaching methods adopted various effective teaching methods and the reasonable modern information technology. It reformed the traditional teaching concept, teaching methods, teaching means and teaching management and the developed the computer network teaching management system. The main achieved functions are as follows:

(1) Meeting the requirements of the network teaching management system. Including: making teaching plans, teaching process supervision module, teaching the results of evaluation and examination of module, graduation design module, module production, and integrated curriculum design module of each function module design and implementation of the teaching management.

(2) Realizing the design of the network online exam system. Based on the use of advanced computer network technology, we build the system which includes the user management, test scores query, online exam, the examination management, question bank management, test question management, test management, automatic group volume, online marking system, and the design of function and implementation.

(3) Realizing the system functions of students evaluating teaching for the undergraduate teaching teachers. The students answered a questionnaire courses through a network which is about teaching content, teaching methods, teaching techniques, students learning, teachers' attitude, etc. The students graded teachers for these aspects. It provides effective teaching evaluation information for teaching management.

6. Teaching management platform and software:

We have developed a teaching management platform, http://202.117.65.249/jxgl/, and developed a software CD of "computer network teaching management system".

   

At present, the development of teacher's teaching integrated information management system, online examination system, students online appraisal system has been applied in the teaching of course "computer advanced programming technology and application" (national bilingual teaching demonstration course) and "modern road traffic measurement technology" (exquisite course in Shaanxi province).

 

7. Teaching reform, teaching, research and the solved problems in the past five years:

(1) Four the second prize of teaching achievement in Shaanxi province; {: 1 (2012), 3 (2003199)}, we completed a series of work of the construction of the courseware, teaching material and teaching resources.

(2) The famous teachers in Shaanxi award (2009). Shaanxi road traffic detection technology and modern national excellent courses bilingual teaching demonstration course computer advanced programming technology get social sure.

(3) "The national bilingual teaching demonstration course (teach high letter [2008] no. 20)" (2008). It makes this course become a national bilingual demonstration site.

(4) "High-quality goods curriculum in Shaanxi (Shan teach high [2008] no. 17)" (2008). It makes the teaching achievement and the construction of the modern traffic detection technology get recognition and further support.

(5) "Electronic information engineering characteristic specialty construction project in shaanxi province" (2011). Two curriculums in Professor Sun Zhaoyun demonstration leading role, the teaching team of the teaching team gets characteristic specialized construction support.

(6) "Excellent teaching team in Shaanxi province road traffic measurement and control technology" (Shan high [2012] 36), head (2012).The team of Xueyuan road traffic measurement and control technology won the award for the outstanding team.

(7) Chang’an university teaching management personnel (2012), Chang 'an university virtue pacesetter title (2010).It gets recognized by school teaching management and teaching demonstration.

(8) One the first prize of Chang’an university school teaching achievement (2010), one second prize (2009). It gets recognized by Appraisal system and course construction of integrated management system from school.
